Summer Update

So I have been kinda slackerish about this blog. I'm getting a little bit better, but at the same time...not really. Anyways, so we had stuff happen this summer that i haven't bothered to post. So here we go...

Alright, so this was actually before summer, but i got bored one day and decided to make a cake. It was just a little cake and i was trying out making my own fondant. It didn't go too badly. It was kinda annoying but really fun at the same time. Eric even helped me out...he was such a trooper!

I did some other cakes but just with frosting...I did one for my mother-in-law. I decorated it with cream cheese frosting...which is not a good hold frosting...btw...it melts really fast, which is why its not a good hold frosting. It was white with paisley designs on it. it was pretty cute...i wish i had a picture of it. i also did a tye-dye cake for my sisters 18th birthday. it was cute also...man i wish i was better at taking pictures. Both pictures are on our parents cameras. But if i ever get ahold of those pictures i will put them up.

Also during the time i wasnt really working because we we're going to move i finally had time to redo a dresser and nightstand that we bought a while ago. Like i said, Im horrible at taking pictures so i kinda forgot about taking a before picture....but trust me it looked nasty. It had stains and paper on it that was suppose to look like wood...there's a word for it but i cant think of it right now. So we had to peel off all the nasty stained paper...which was the hardest part, but once that was done it was so much easier to make it look pretty.

Its more of an off whiteish color not white and that the original hardware...its super cute now!

Because the inside was so nasty Eric had a great idea to cover the insides with fabric. I love my crafty man. He has such good ideas.

This is the matching nightstand!

Same thing with these drawers. I think these were Eric's favorite.
We also celebrated Eric's 25th birthday. And i want to take the time now to apologize to Eric for being so late. He totally took the time to write me a sweet birthday message and my birthday is after his. So his birthday is June 25th. So this year was the big golden birthday. Im not sure how much it actually matters but nobody mentioned my golden birthday when it came around, so i figured somebody in this relationship should get their golden b-day recognized.
So for Eric's birthday we went to breakfast and then to the pool to watch his niece and nephews swim for a little bit. After that we got an awesome ice cream cake for that night. Later his family came over and we had ourselves a little birthday party. We had the traditional pizza and ice cream cake. And we opened presents. My family was out of town that day, but the next day my family through him a pool party. And had pizza and brownies and more presents! YAY! All in all it was a pretty good couple of days.
Eric i want you to know how much i love and appreciate you. You've been my best friend for the last (almost) 4 years. and i wouldnt trade those years for anything. I absolutely love having you around and i cant wait to have our own offical family together. You are my life and Im not sure what i would do without. I love you babe!
Eric opening up presents

Eric bracing himself for the present hitting song.
The birthday person gets bumped on the head with their present and then its the birthday persons job to wish something happy/good for the person who bumped them. Its a really fun tradition that teaches you to be more selfless on your birthday.

Eric with most of his presents.

So other things that happen. oh i got lasik eye surgery and i now have 20/15 vision. I love all of todays technologies. Best of all it didnt even hurt. So all you blind-es out there go get it done...right now! And my sister-in-law had her babies...thats right twins. One little boy and one little girl...so cute trust me! She named them bryndle and garrison. Also my little brother got married and again no pictures from me, but considering i have more pictures this post and i took all of them myself, i have to say Im getting betterish. Oh...we haven't moved yet. Yay! Dont know when we will or where we'll be going but you know we're hanging in there making ends meet. I cant wait for the day we're not pinching pennies anymore, so until then we keep on going. Anyways, i think thats about it for now. We're pretty much all caught up on everything. So i guess until next time.

Birthday time is here!

So Taylor is now 22, and we still haven't gone to Vegas to teach her the dangers of gambling! O_o
We had a nice day together; I bought her a huge pack of muffins because she wouldn't tell me what kind she wanted, and tons of chocolate stuff. Than we went to Cafe Rio for lunch, Despicable Me after that. She just a few things this year, a '10 Pathfinder with all the bells and whistles and Lasik on her eyes. I'm 99% sure she loves them both.

One unexpected surprise present, for me at least, was the 40+ baby snakes that hatched just a few days before her birthday! She is doing much better with the snakes and even watered them while I was in Florida last week! She even looked at some of the pictures of the babies!

Things are looking up, we had some work issues that have taught us some good lessons but we put our heals to the ground and worked hard and now theres a light at the end of the tunnel and lots of options are opening up for us. We still don't know if we'll be staying, moving, or if we move, where to. SO STOP ASKING! =) we'll let everyone know when we know. I promise! (talking to YOU family!) The good news is that there are options from staying in St. George, to Florida, Texas, and although we likely wont take them Chicago and Phoenix.

Back on subject I LOVE Taylor so much and hope she had a wonderful birthday and can't wait to share many, many more with her.

Farewell Tipo

I lost one of my snakes today. He was the 2nd oldest and actually the first snake I ever bought and the first male I ever mated. Sure he was feisty and a biter but all the times he escaped he always came back and was found near the cages. He brought excitement to people to see the aggressive/defensive behavior of a wild animal. I wish I would have cherished him more for his individuality before now. I will miss him.

It's My Turn!

So almost 1 week ago Eric and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. As he mentioned we went to California and had a ball. We SO needed a vacation! It was a wonderful break from our hectic life. So Eric pretty much covered what happened in California, so I'm just going to talk about how much I love him. :)

Eric is such a wonderful husband. He is constantly putting me first, even when I don't want to see it. Even though it's just us two he makes sure that I am well taken care of. He's my very best friend. He's the one who has always been there for me and will always be there for me. He has made my life so special in every way. I'm so very glad that he wanted to be with me forever. I truely feel like the luckiest person ever to have married him.

Eric Joel...I love you so very much. You are my heart and soul. You make my life feel complete and I can't imagine my life without you now that you're in it. You are my everything and I can't wait to start a family with you and continue enjoying life together.

its been a year!?

So usually Taylor handles this business but I'm going to take a swing at this one.

Sunday was Taylor and I's 1 year anniversary, Sunday itself was uneventful but we celebrated the event starting at Disneyland on Thurs and we had a day long date on Saturday. We eat lunch at the Beach, cruised the stores at the boardwalk, waited 2 hours to eat dinner at The Cheesecake Factor, arrived at the Museums just as the closed, went to all the chick stores at 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica and spent the reminder of the night at by brothers apartment with my family. It was a LONG and enjoyable day.

This last year has really flown by with more ups and downs for us and our families than 1 year should be alloted but we've remained strongly devoted to each other and I love her more and more each day. I'm certain I don't deserve her but I thank God for sending her my way anyways. I love most everything about Taylor and I've realized that even the few quirks she has that periodically drive me nuts are just byproducts of all the great things about her that I Love.

I Love you Taylor Rena and look forward to spending the rest of forever with you!

Oh yeah, so as of right now we're going to disneyland for our 1 year anniversary. I'm so excited, it's going to be so much fun.

My New Post Title

So I was super excited and wanted to say that my awesome hubby helped me changed my post title. He is Wonderful!

My Hubby Is So Wonderful!

So I know that everyone says they have a wonderful husband, but my husband is the best. Thursday night my stomach starting cramping. It kind felt like I was having gas pains...we all know how those feel. Except I felt nauseous, its really the worst feeling in the world. So he got me all tucked into bed and got me some sleeping pills. Then I woke up the next morning feeling even more sick. I kept running to the bathroom thinking I was going to throw up, but it didnt happen. My stomach pains were getting worse and I really thought I was going die. I was on the floor crying and screaming from how much pain I was. I actually thought it was going to be a story I told on the T.V. show "I didnt know I was pregnant." But of course it wasn't. Anyways during all the craziness I thought, " the only way my stomach pains are going to stop is if I get a blessing." oh hoho...boy was I right. Not 5 seconds after he finished I threw up and my stomach felt 10 times better. Of course I was still sick, but I wasnt crying or screaming anymore, so I was good.

Anyways, back to the wonderful husband part. So after the blessing, he held my hair back while I threw up. Then while I cleaned up myself, Eric cleaned my throw up bowl. Thats a good husband! He then called my work and told them I was sick. Got me back into bed put on my favorite movie, Marley and Me, brought me food and drinks whenever I needed them. Got me dressed or undressed, you know socks on socks off and pretty much did everything for, except go to the bathroom.

All I know that if this isnt the makings of a perfect husband, I dont know what is!

Oh wow! I suck!

Oh my goodness! I can't even begin to tell you how much I suck at this blogging game. I totally thought I would be good at it...hohoho boy was I wrong! So I am making a late new years goal...yes its the new year already. Actually its almost march, yeah I know. Anyways I am really going to make a goal to be better and work on this because well I suck at it, as we can all see. so yeah since I haven't blogged since juneish I better catch everybody up.

Well everybody brace yourself, I think its a record we got fired again from our job...in July. I pretty much think its a record. We're obviously aren't as cool as we thought we were. We just weren't wanted. Well actually they tried to send us somewhere else like Texas, but it was definately putting a strain on our relationship. So we moved backed to good ole St. George. We did, however, get back just in time to see our new little newphew, Connor.

It took us awhile, but we finally got back on our feet. We are currently renting a house and life is totally good. I work at Pizza Factory again during the day and I nanny 3 nights a week. I really love it. Eric has also been devoting his time to starting his business. Yes he installs alarms. So if anybody is in need of one let me know...we'll hook you up. Even if you just want an alarm for more of a peace of mind thing without the monitoring (which is what we have), we can do it. Money is tight, but we figure thats how its suppose to be right now. So we're good. Oh and our doggies are doing good, crazy, but good. Wrestling is what they do in their spare time, which does annoy me at times. Oh well.

So with events that have happened umm...my sister, Regan, Randi, and Randi's family moved to North Carolina. They say they are enjoying it there, which is good news. Oh and my brother, Casey, and his wife Jamie Sue, and their kids moved to arizona. I miss them...they've been a 2 min. car drive away for so long thats its sad that I haven't seen them since thanksgiving. hmm..sad story! Eric and I have taken family pictures with both sides of our families, which was very fun. Well, I had fun...can't say the same for Eric. My good friend Steph had her baby girl and my other good friend Kara found out she's having a baby girl. My friends are leaving me behind. I'll get there soon enough...well, we'll see.

Well I'm not sure if there is much more to tell. We were crazy garage sell junkies for awhile. Its really more of a disease we have. We always check out craiglists for cool things even if we wont need them for a while...like baby cribs (totally Erics idea...just so you know). Anyways both garage selling and craiglists have treated us well. So yeah thats us in a nut shell. If I missed anything I'll post it later because remember I'm going to be better at this...hopefully!

My side of the family pictures, we haven't seen Erics side yet
